I'm not planning to go anywhere as of yet. I
consider the forum core group my friends, and the
code I was brought up on does not abandon friends.
Having been in the bike world for over 12 years,
it would be hard for me to just pack up and move
on. My life has revolved around bikes, antique
trucks, and hot rods since I was in kindergarten.
I've been turning wrenches and building custom rides
since I was 15. I earned a "one percenter's"
prospect priviledges the same year. Have ridden in
Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the USA in the ensuing
years.
I'm more than willing to keep up the tech tidbits.
If I don't know the answer, I'll look it up and get
back to the poster, likely the same day.
However, I have a very low threshhold for dealing
with blatant stupidity. Consequently, I have left
the motorcycle club scene, my shop is considered
"underground/unauthorized", and I tend to disappear
easily/frequently. Even if I don't post for awhile,
I'll still be in the wings IF I leave. Since I own
a Savage, not antique bikes anymore, this is where
I can usually be found. Most of my bike knowledge
is crossovers from the Indian/HD/ Excelsior-Henderson
model lines, that just happens to be applicable here
as well. Plus, having an "odd-ball" like the LS650,
with little aftermarket support, I picked up some
Savage specific tricks as well.
Rest assured, I'm still "standing the watch", to
quote from my SeaBee days.
